The Los Angeles Dodgers first claimed Luke Williams off waivers from the Miami Marlins in November 2022, but then non-tendered him less than two weeks later. The Dodgers re-signed Williams to a Minor League contract that included an invitation to Spring Training, and he would ultimately begin the 2023 season with Triple-A Oklahoma City.
