12/05/24 Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell's practice absence sparks Week 14 doubt. The Las Vegas Raiders might have a quarterback dilemma heading into Week 14 after Aidan O'Connell's unexpected absence from Thursday's practice sparked concerns about his availability. According to multiple reporters at the scene, O'Connell, who recently returned from a fractured thumb injury, was absent during the early portions of the team's workout. O'Connell's absence is puzzling, as he was not listed on Wednesday's injury report. In his five appearances, including three starts this season, O'Connell has completed 64.1% of his passes for 795 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions.

12/04/24 NFL insider reveals Raiders' possible 'mandate' from ownership in 2025. The Las Vegas Raiders will be going back to the drawing board at quarterback in 2025 after the team failed to find its long-term solution at the position in 2024. Before failing to draft a signal-caller, the Raiders signed Gardner Minshew to compete with Aidan O'Connell, and the veteran quarterback ended up winning the job. O'Connell has taken over the starting role upon returning from injury, and after Minshew went down with a season-ending collarbone injury. The Purdue product was fantastic last week, but it's highly unlikely Las Vegas views him as the long-term answer under center.

12/03/24 Updated NFL Draft Board After Patriots Can't Catch Break In Week 13. Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell botched a snap with 15 seconds left in what was shaping up to be a stunning Las Vegas win against the Kansas City Chiefs. The fumble by O'Connell, which came with Las Vegas in field goal range trailing 19-17, certainly didn't help the New England Patriots. Mac Jones and the Jacksonville Jaguars could have helped New England, too. But Jacksonville, which lost quarterback Trevor Lawrence after a dirty hit, allowed the Houston Texans to convert on third-and-4 with two minutes left and ultimately lost 23-20. Should either (or both) of those results have gone the other way, New England's current standing in the 2025 NFL Draft would look different. Then again, the

11/30/24 Antonio Pierce Reveals Raiders Heard Whistle on Late Fumbled Snap vs. Chiefs. There was apparent confusion on the Las Vegas Raiders' sideline on a game-defining play in the closing minute of their 19–17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday at Arrowhead Stadium. Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said Saturday that the Las Vegas sideline heard a whistle that would indicate the play was dead shortly after quarterback Aidan O'Connell fumbled a mistimed snap from rookie center Jackson Powers-Johnson. That botched snap, recovered by the Chiefs, marked the end to the Raiders' potential game-winning drive and secured Kansas City's 11th win of the season. Pierce also told reporters that the Raiders plan to send video of the final play to the NFL for review. "Yeah, I mean, like we

11/30/24 Fans are convinced the NFL is rigged after latest Chiefs controversy. The Chiefs' dramatic win over the Raiders has reignited baseless conspiracy theories that the NFL is 'rigged' in favor of the back-to-back Super Bowl champions. Kansas City avoided a disaster on Black Friday, when the then-2-9 Raiders had a late drive into Chiefs territory, knowing a field goal would win the game. After the game, Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell said the error, which cost his team the game, was 'completely my fault'.
